Issue a netstat command from the PC with the problems to see
what kind of network connections are open. A lot of netbios
traffic on that particular computer can slow it down. For
instance: having klez or another virus going that is actively
scanning for fileshares.

In addition, heavy traffic on your node could be causing slow
network perfomance. Are you on a switched network? Run a
packet sniffer to see if your sub node is busy.

Try a reboot. Disable virus scanner or personal firewall.
