Thank you. This seems to be a bug.WebBrute connections never time out. The application is
single threaded and may be hanging up while waiting for a
response. You may need to reduce the number of attempts per
connection. The webserver which you are testing may be
closing its connection after the first or second failed
attempt. If you continue to get the problem, your internet
connection or the webserver may be slow or unreliable.
The connection should time out and handle the error by
halting WebBrute. This will be added to the bug list and
fixed in the next version.
The address netbrute@rawlogic.com has been fixed.
Thank you for the suggestion. I'll look into it.
: WebBrute gets stuck and I can't close the program. I can
: do other
: things like create and verify and even initiate other
: attacks but it
: always gets stuck. It does not matter what word or name
: files I use. I
: am running Win2k pro.

: Make some other common HTTP requests we can use like
: FrontPage Edit
: Authentication. It does a
: POST /_vti_bin/_vti_aut/author.dll HTTP/1.1
: request. It would make it easier to ensure my folks here
: are using good
: passwords on thier webs.=20
